Mylne designed her at the age of 64 as a cruiser-racer for the experienced Scottish yachtsman, Sir Arthur Young. In 1986 the Valdettaro yard of La Spezia, Italy began a fresh refit but never completed her. In 1992 Thendara went to Southampton Yacht Services and was finished in 1994. She now enjoys the classic regattas in the Mediterranean and has had many a battle with the Herreshoff schooner, 'Mariette', and the Fife schooner, 'Altair'. |
