Bought in 1953 by the Smyth brothers who sailed her on her delivery trip from Pwlleli in Wales to Strangford Lough, Northern Ireland. "Owned by Brian T Smyth and his twin brother William A Smyth until she was badly damaged when lying in Strangford Lough during the hurricane in September 1961". "Suvretta was sailed to the West Indies and back again in the 1970's and laid up in Strangford Lough." "West Solents were a Restricted Class with a flush deck and Peter Heaton converted 'Dinah' and put a coach roof on her. Suvretta later had an identical conversion and I believe both yachts are in West Mersea and have been restored to the original." "There was one other West Solent that was sailed to Brazil, I believe Rio, but I don't remember her name. These one designs sailed with the "J" class in the Solent and were very sea worthy although extremely wet, and easily survived weather that their skippers found difficult." Bought by the present owner in 2000. In May 2008 Adrian Riva of Maldon completed her restoration.
