Built to the French yacht class name 'Maïca' which was the name of the first one built to this design. Previous names include 'Manika' and 'Islay Malt'.

Currently a member of the French Yacht Club Classique 'Saba' competes in many of the Atlantic Classic Challenge regattas.(2009)
