Pia

Her home port is Dubrovnik.

Pia probably conformed to a 40 square-meter class. However, due to her heavy ballast keel of 2.200 kg, her displacement is almost 4000 kg. This is well above 2.940 kg, the ideal displacement according to the Rules of the 40 Square-Meter Class.

Another discrepancy from the ideals of a 40 square-meter class is her extremelly short water line (Li) of 9,30 m. The Rules recommend the Li of 10.50m (Li is measured 21cm above her Design Water Line). In comparison, the recommended Li for a 30 Square-Meter class is 9,10 m.

Contrary to the usual restoration practice, Pia is not being restored to her original rig. Upon restoration, she will be reborn as a cutter with a higher mast, a much longer boom and a bow-sprit.
