Odyssey

  

'Built for Mrs Barbara McKee Henry, grand-daughter of Cornelius Vanderbilt II. The family enjoyed cruises to Cuba to visit Ernest Hemingway and to the Galapagos islands.

Acquired by the US Navy in 1942 and renamed USS Saluda (IX 87). In service of the US Navy until 1974 in various areas such as sonar and oceanographic work.

In 1978 Odyssey found a new home with the Pacific Harbors Council of the Boy Scouts of America and now serves as a sail training vessel with the Sea Scouts of Tacoma.'(2009)
