Merry Dancer is framed with very good oak, planked with the best mahogany (above the waterline) and teak (below the waterline). 1 1/4 thick. Copper rivets and bronze screws. Planks have been joined together with wedges. Keel is an external lead keel bolted with new (2007) inox keel bolts. A combination of sawn oak frames and steam bent elm frames have been incorporated with iron floors and knees to provide an extremelly strong structure. A swept teak deck has been laid on Elm beams. The teak is 20mm thick. Cabins and interiors are in clear oak. Classified as Lloyds 100 A1. |
