The below quotes are an e-mail from the current owner keen to find out more(2009):
"The designer was Erik Estlander (not the famous Estlander, but maybe a relative ?) I dont have the original documents, but the former owner has done some research. An advert from an old newspaper indicates that 3 "Auxiliary Cruisers mod. 129" were shipped to South Africa in the early fourties. I have reasons to believe that my boat is the only one left in the north, but I would be thrilled to find out about what happened to the "South African 129´s"
"If there is a "129" left in her original shape I would be delighted to know about it! That could really help me in my efforts to bring my boat back to its original appearance." |
