Designed by Max Oertz in 1929 she was built in Arnis from 1936 to 1938. She was under a French flag in 1964, and having been bought by her present owner in 1992 there was an extensive refit in 1992/93(hull and interior) followed by another refit in 2004/2006. She is CIM epoque and has the French label "Maritime Heritage" "Firuz" takes part in the Classic mediteranean regattas( CIM regattas) since 1992 .
