'Amorita is quite possibly the most famous and successful of the venerable 18 New York 30's built. She won nearly every Classic Yachting event in Southern New England, and has become a fixture in New York Yacht Club events. Recently she gained unwanted notoriety when she was the victim caused by the careless actions of a much larger yacht. She was rescued from the bottom and is bow waiting a full recovery'.

Re-launching is expected in 2010. Amorita is being repaired at MPG in Mystic, Connecticut, USA.
